Job Description

This position involves working in the Fremantle area, where you will be required to collect data from various retail environments. As a Store Mapper, your primary task will be to survey stores and record their surroundings using a provided iPhone app.

  • Casual hourly rate $32.79 p/hr + $0.98 p/kms + superannuation

The following tasks are essential for this role:

  1. Picking up a kit (including an iPhone and peripherals) from a nearby location or contact person.
  2. Attending a 30-minute online training session prior to the site visit.
  3. Arriving at the scheduled site on time, equipped with the necessary tools and a fully charged personal phone.
  4. Recording the store's surroundings using the Mapping iPhone by walking up and down aisles while marking pinpoints on a map in the app.
  5. Maintaining communication with our remote call centre throughout the process via Google Meet on your personal phone.
  6. Completing relevant inductions to enter supermarkets.
  7. Maintaining a current valid driver's license and car.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A sense of direction and orientation to accurately mark pinpoints on a map.
  • Patient and detail-oriented - precision is crucial for successful data collection.
  • Prepared to work on your feet for extended periods and navigate through crowded spaces.
  • Effective communication skills, self-motivation, and independence.
  • Comfortable receiving remote guidance, being monitored, and maintaining ongoing communication with an operator throughout the day.
