The role of the Compliance Consultant involves providing regulatory, administrative, and educational support for the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance issues.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations regarding the privacy and security of customer information.
- Evaluate the level of compliance with applicable federal regulations and contractual requirements.
- Customize System Security Plans (SSPs) for clients while conforming to the required security framework documentation.
- Act as a Project Manager for each assigned SSP project.
- Assist in developing new products/services for an organization.
- Research news and publications on security frameworks and regulations used by an organization.
- Prepare presentations or exhibits to explain framework controls and socialize security controls into a client's culture.
- Assist with other compliance functions, such as user awareness training and tabletop incident simulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-171 / CMMC Level 2, Center for Internet Security CIS 18, Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Security Platform tools.
- Desired work experience includes 5-10 years of management experience, 3-5 years in cybersecurity compliance or configuration, 3-5 years in technology support, and process documentation and project management experience.
Compensation and benefits are negotiated based on skills and experience.
