Job Overview

As a Senior Availability Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing the global infrastructure availability and incident response capabilities across Colocation design and operations. Your primary objectives will include managing lessons learnt strategies through incident management processes, participating in emergency calls, contributing to 48-hour report analysis, and implementing lessons learned using the 5 whys methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global incident management processes to enhance Colocation infrastructure availability and reduce technical risks.
  • Lead RCA discussions and drive corrective actions related to site/equipment failures, ensuring prompt resolutions and adherence to best practices.
  • Support operational issues escalations and contribute to regular Colocation availability reporting for senior leadership.
  • Develop strategic action plans and workflows to drive process improvements, leveraging regional teams and mentoring expertise.
  • Provide technical direction for SPOF programs, including availability strategies, remediation designs approval, and global risk reduction initiatives.
  • Participate in Infra Project reviews and approvals, including CIMAP/HIMAPS endorsement and documentation review.
  • Handle technical escalations on first-of-a-kind design features, projects, and product deployments.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including Colo Regional Engineering training and mentoring activities.
