Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Conquest Personnel Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Northern Sydney. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical fitters, reviewing plant maintenance issues, and implementing solutions to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of mechanical fitters to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Conduct regular plant maintenance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving solutions.
  • Develop and maintain plant and equipment preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the QA Manager to prepare and update ISO procedures as required.
  • Manage site infrastructure and facilities maintenance requirements, including overseeing general contractors and managing their visits and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Responsible for the safe operation and tidiness of the maintenance workshop, equipment, and tools.
  • Lead projects involving commissioning, installation, modification, or renovation of building and equipment.
  • Monitor or plan jobs to be completed by outside contractors, controlling costs, scheduling, and development of maintenance activities.
  • Manage supplies, purchases, and budget set by reporting Manager.
  • On call for emergency repairs required outside regular hours.
Requirements:
  • Strong commitment to WH&S in the workplace.
  • Proficient in basic office applications MS Word, Excel.
  • Familiarity with automation system controls & PLC programming e.g., Siemens, Unitronics.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems e.g., speed drives SEW, Festo pneumatics, hydraulics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with an attention to detail and a proven ability to multitask.
  • Understand manufacturing and industrial breakdowns related to injection moulding machines and fault finding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.
  • Current Drivers License and Forklift License.
  • A Team Player.
