Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, education and research across three campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Community Brain Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (CBDATS) team. This is a fixed term maternity leave position.

This role would suit a neuropsychologist who has an interest in working with clients who have significant cognitive and behavioural difficulties following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and a mental illness.

The position offers a unique opportunity to utilise your specialist assessment and consultation skills, network with stakeholders, families and carers, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with specialist endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Holding a Master degree in Clinical Neuropsychology with a minimum of two years professional experience
  • Relevant clinical experience in the management of adult psychiatry and ABI clients
  • Demonstrated experience with neurobehavioural interventions
  • Ability to plan and develop specific educational material and programs
  • Sound knowledge of the new Mental Health Act legislation
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
