The NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver over $1.2 billion of works as part of METRONET.

Across two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link), the Alliance will add 32 kilometres of track to Perth's rail network, 5 new stations and 3 station modifications as well as 14 kilometres of principal shared path.

Our team is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager - Building Team Lead to join the Thornlie-Cockburn Link project on the Station team.

Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager - Building Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading daily planning activities and contributing to weekly/monthly forward planning of works including resource requirements and trade coordination.

You will manage and deliver work to the value of $10 million and provide coaching and leadership to your team members.

You will develop a culture of personal accountability and create an environment that encourages and rewards successful performance.

You will also demonstrate commitment to Our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Policies, Our SHE Cultural Framework, the Safety Essentials, and the SHE Management System requirements and expectations.

In this role, you will maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA, and safety and environmental regulations.

You will have a detailed understanding of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems.

You will have high-level communication, consultation, negotiation, and influencing skills, as well as solid relationship and team-building skills.

You will also be able to accurately record activities and ensure business processes are adhered to.

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the building industry with a minimum 3 years' experience as a Building Supervisor or equivalent, delivering mid-to-large scale commercial projects.
  • Delivery of building works spanning structure, envelope, fit-out, hydraulics, and civils works.
  • Leading daily planning activities and contributing to weekly/monthly forward planning of works including resource requirements and trade coordination.
  • Managed and delivered work to $10 million.
  • Providing coaching and leadership; and maintaining effective communication channels.
  • Develop a culture of personal accountability and create an environment that encourages and rewards successful performance.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Our SHE Policies, Our SHE Cultural Framework, the Safety Essentials, and the SHE Management System requirements and expectations.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA, and safety and environmental regulations.

Estimated Salary:

$140,000 per annum, plus benefits package.
