Job Title: MES Team Lead

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, this role provides a vital leadership and technical capability for the design, implementation, maintenance, support, and administration of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of MES engineers, analysts, and developers.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of MES applications, from requirements gathering, build, test, deploy, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality control, and IT teams to ensure solutions meet business operational and strategic objectives, while adhering to Infrabuild's technology standards and governance controls.
  • Collaborate with third-party MES vendors to ensure products and services are delivered according to contractually agreed conditions.
  • Stay current with industry trends in MES technology and manufacturing processes, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the business's innovation and automation strategy that will leverage IoT technologies underpinned by Industry architecture.
  • Coordinate/7 on-call support roster and contribute to this as an escalation point.
  • Tertiary qualified in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Plus years of experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems and/or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience in leading a team of technical specialists with a proven track record of successful technology implementations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop floor operations, and quality control.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to ERP & Industrial Automation systems in a process industry advantageous.
  • Skills in SQL Database Development (SQL Server & Oracle) would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment is preferred.
