Job Title: Child Protection Team Manager Cpp5.2

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Child Protection Team Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for effective service delivery, managing resources, budget, cases awaiting allocation and small teams of practitioners.

You will have the formal delegation to endorse and review case plans to bring about changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. You will work collaboratively with senior child protection practitioners to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and support other practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk assessment and analysis - gather information through various sources and technologies to identify, articulate and plan for risks relating to each situation. Apply a strong forensic lens and professional judgement to analyse the available evidence.
  • Case planning review and case management - draw insights from assessment and analysis to formulate a meaningful and effective case plan, review case progress and outcomes. Coordinate and lead the planning, review and management of casework within DHHS and across other agencies and services.
  • Critical enquiry - use evidence based frameworks to investigate issues and understand the root cause of each issue as well as potential implications.
