About the Role

We are seeking an Advanced Building Services Coordinator to oversee the planning and coordination of design and on-site engineering activities for building services. This key role will ensure project time and budget objectives are met by participating in the management of building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire) to guarantee that emerging documentation meets required specifications, cost budgets, and project timelines for construction and installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the management of building services design to ensure compliance with project specifications, cost budgets, and program requirements.
  • Coordinate building services engineering consultants and subcontractors where appointed, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely completion of tasks.
  • In conjunction with the Contracts Administrator, identify opportunities for cost savings and assist in selecting products and resolving problems to achieve best value for money.
  • Review documentation for adequacy of design input, ensuring it aligns with project requirements.
  • Monitor progress and quality of construction and plant installation on site, ensuring adherence to quality control, engineering, and safety standards.
  • Contribute to the handover and commissioning of the project, including submission of final documentation, as-built documents, authority approvals, warranties, training, and guarantees.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in coordinating mechanical and/or electrical design, construction, and installation activities on building projects.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective relationships at all levels of the business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
