About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Aged Care professional to join our team as a WP Assessor in Sydney.
Due to growing demands for our courses, we are looking for sessional workplace assessors who can deliver exceptional programs using their expertise and knowledge.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspiring Program Delivery: Trainers and assessors will inspire and deliver assigned programs using comprehensive learning materials, past experience, and examples.
- Support and Feedback: Provide support and feedback to ensure successful completion of programs.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor, mark, and conduct student assessments, planning, reviewing, and improving training and assessment.
- Participation and Collaboration: Participate in assessment validation, moderation, and continuous improvement, conducting workplace visits while students are on placement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Passion: A strong passion for the aged care sector.
- Teaching Expertise: Keen interest in teaching others about the Aged Care industry.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in training or lecturing is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Time Management: Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Quality Focus: A high level of attention to quality and detail.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Sensitivity and ability to adapt teaching styles to students of different cultural backgrounds.
- Professional Development: Commitment to continuing professional development requirements of the professional body to which they belong.
- Vocational Qualification: A relevant vocational qualification in Aged Care at the Diploma or degree level.
- Additional Requirements: Preferably a Registered Nurse, Certificate IV in AS, minimum of 3 years industrial/professional experience, and current Police Check.
- Language Literacy: Language Literacy and Numeracy level appropriate to teach others.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
