A Centre Director is required to lead our Community Kindergarten in Darling Downs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the kindergarten, including human resources, educational and wellbeing programs, communication with families, risk and compliance, marketing, and administration.

\

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a proven track record of leadership and management. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with staff, children, and parents.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of our children\
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the kindergarten, including staffing, budgeting, and facilities maintenance\
  • Building strong relationships with families and the local community\
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations\
  • Leading and managing a team of experienced educators and support staff\
  • Providing high-quality care and education to our children\
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge\
  • Assisting with fundraising and other events as required\
  • Working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals\
  • Representing the kindergarten at various meetings and functions\
  • Reporting to the Management Committee on a regular basis\
  • Preparing and submitting reports as required\
  • Performing other related duties as directed by the Management Committee\
  • Supporting the growth and development of the kindergarten through strategic planning and innovation\
  • Ensuring the kindergarten is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and families\
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and services\
  • Identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them\
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children\
  • Staying up-to-date with current research and best practices in early childhood education\
  • Engaging with the local community to promote the kindergarten and its values\
  • Being proactive in identifying and addressing any issues or concerns\
  • Supporting the implementation of new initiatives and policies\
  • Actively promoting the kindergarten's vision, mission, and values\
  • Assisting with student placements and work experience arrangements\
  • Providing guidance and support to staff members as needed\
  • Contributing to the creation of a positive and supportive work culture\
  • Maintaining accurate records and files as required\
  • Performing other related duties as directed by the Management Committee\
