Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Road Safety Professional to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of community and educational road safety initiatives. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering road safety programs that address behavioral issues across all road users.

This is a Temporary Full Time role, 70 hours per fortnight, with a Grade 6 salary range of $95,321 p.a. with progression to $111,656 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, plus 11.5% Super.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement community and educational road safety initiatives that address behavioral issues across all road users.
  • To work closely with engineering, community services, planning, communications and customer service teams to deliver road safety programs.
  • To engage with external stakeholders, including community groups, local health district, NSW Police Force and local businesses, to build partnerships and support better road safety outcomes.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Behavioural Sciences, Education, Health Promotion, Marketing, Communications, Sciences and related disciplines or extensive relevant experience.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and to represent the organization competently to other government agencies and the general public.
  • Well-developed written, communication and stakeholder management skills.
