Job Description

The Community Fundraising Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth in community fundraising with a strong focus on strategic planning and grassroots engagement.

This senior-level position leads a team of specialists across Australia, overseeing the development and implementation of engagement strategies and account management frameworks to drive acquisition, retention, and income growth.

Key responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and coaching a geographically dispersed team, building and sustaining long-term relationships with schools, workplaces, community groups, and individual fundraisers.

Strong financial acumen and budget management skills are essential, along with excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in community fundraising within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and coach geographically dispersed teams.
  • A blend of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery at the grassroots level.
  • Track record of achieving income growth, acquisition, and retention targets.
  • Experience using CRM platforms.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget management and forecasting experience.
