Industrial Automation Business Development Manager – Brisbane

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team in Brisbane. This role will involve promoting a portfolio of solutions, including industrial automation, motors and motor control, and LV power distribution products.
About the Role- This is an opportunity to leverage your strong industrial automation background and excellent communication skills to drive business growth.
- You will be responsible for developing and executing sales action plans aligned with our state strategy, researching new prospects, and establishing key accounts.
- A key aspect of this role is building senior-level relationships with customers and following a sales process to effectively qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales action plans aligned with our state strategy.
- Research and identify new prospects and sales opportunities, whilst developing and establishing key accounts.
- Organise and plan face-to-face meetings with active/prospective customers per week.
- Establish senior-level relationships with customers.
- Follow a sales process to effectively qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with both local and national teams to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Supply accurate information to the management team through our CRM system.
- Proven application knowledge and ability to manage sales activities through a consultative sales approach.
- Attend industry-related events for business development, networking, and market intelligence.
- An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
- Solid sales experience coupled with an industrial automation background.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn, and to create solutions.
- An attractive annual base salary ($120,000) plus superannuation.
