We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Specialist to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, and daily household tasks.
- Offer transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Provide overnight/sleepover care as per roster.
- Administer medication ensuring that the medication administration policies are followed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support with a focus on behavioural supports.
- Prior experience working with people with disabilities is highly regarded.
- Ability to work day shifts, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
