Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing and retiring the infrastructure that supports digital services. This includes physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future infrastructure demand
- Provide technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities
- Prepare and maintain documentation including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans and support procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policy and procedures and change initiatives
- Participate in change management process and communicate the implications of configuration changes
- Provide specialist technical advice and strategic advice to senior executives
- Share knowledge and expertise as subject matter expert and aid mentorship to less experienced colleagues
- Undertake research on emerging technologies and provide recommendations on product suitability
- Engage with other agencies and service providers to build service delivery capability

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience in the design, management and maintenance of internet gateway and/or large scale data centre networking environment. They will also have demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in the design of services utilising F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems, as well as experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS Solutions. Additionally, they will have experience in the design and integration of hybrid and public cloud services.
