About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Store person to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a critical role in managing inventory, tools and equipment to ensure fleet assets are maintained, compliant and ready for deployment.

  • Goods Handling: Receive, inspect, label and store incoming materials, tools and equipment in line with purchase orders.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate stock records, log movements and report on stock variances, surplus or shortages.
  • Compliance & Audits: Conduct and manage contractual Commonwealth stocktaking programmes, reconcile discrepancies and escalate issues such as theft or loss.
  • Tool & Equipment Management: Track, inspect and maintain tools and equipment, coordinating repairs and ensuring readiness.
  • Safety & Risk Oversight: Ensure safe handling of hazardous goods, maintain safety records and support emergency preparedness.
  • Collaboration & Improvement: Work with technicians and colleagues to source parts and contribute to process improvements and training updates.
About You
  • Previous experience managing warehousing, stores, inventory management systems and small teams of employees across multiple sites is essential.
  • A valid forklift licence is required, with MR/HR and High-Risk Work licences desirable.
  • Proficiency in SAP inventory systems, along with strong record-keeping skills, is also necessary.
  • A solid understanding of safety regulations and handling of hazardous materials is expected.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • A commitment to ongoing training, professional development and continuous improvement is essential.
