Job Opportunity

School-based trainees will work in a team providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children.

  • Assist with daily activities and self-care of children, promoting emotional well-being and nurturing growth.
  • Engage in play and interactions with children, fostering social skills and cognitive development.
  • Follow established hygiene and safety procedures, addressing areas needing attention to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to planning and documentation of children's learning under mentor guidance, enhancing educational outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to implement policies and procedures, promoting a cohesive work environment.
  • Undertake the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, developing expertise in the field.
Requirements
  • Year 11 or 12 student in good academic standing, demonstrating a commitment to education.
  • Computer literacy for documenting learning stories, utilizing technology effectively.
  • Nationally recognized entry-level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, ensuring a solid foundation.
  • Working With Children Check Exemption Declaration or Valid Employee Working With Children Check, maintaining community trust.
  • Enrolled and attending one of our Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, aligning with local values.
