We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Tesla. As a key member of our Utility Scale Energy business, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale projects across Victoria and the wider APAC region.
Key Responsibilities- Project Ownership and Execution: You will be responsible for understanding and managing the scope and schedule of projects, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards a common goal.
- EPC Sub-Contractor Management: You will oversee the management of EPC sub-contractors for all phases of construction, including design, construction, commissioning, and completion.
- Grid Connection Agreement Management: You will understand and manage the grid connection agreement during construction and testing phases.
- Stakeholder Management: You will interface with and manage internal and external stakeholders, from contracting stage through execution and handover to Service.
- Project Risk Management: You will identify gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success, requiring a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, permitting concepts, and rules of conduct.
- Financial Management: You will support the finance team and provide information to ensure Tesla's overall compliance with internal agreements and targets.
- Health, Safety, and Quality: You will ensure all works of Tesla employees and contractors are carried out in a safe, high-quality, efficient manner in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Contractual Compliance: You will adhere to contractual conditions to ensure compliance and Tesla's subsequent compliance with upstream agreements.
- Project Reporting: You will prepare regular reports on project status and risk.
- Engineering Degree: You will have an engineering degree (Civil or Electrical Preferred), Tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience.
- Project Management Experience: You will have 5+ years of end-to-end project management experience.
- Industry Experience: You will have experience delivering registered generators in the NEM desirable, and experience in delivering projects in Renewable energy, Power distribution, or Utilities.
- Certifications: You will have PMP/PMC certification preferred.
- Travel Requirements: You will be able to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional international travel required.
- Skills and Knowledge: You will have knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid process, as well as the ability to manage field construction activities and resources.
- Leadership Skills: You will have the ability to manage several projects and prioritize, as well as lead cross-functional teams.
- Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication and documentation skills.
