Opportunity Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work in a unique environment, providing essential dental services to rural and remote communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately diagnose and plan treatment within scope of practice for the program
  • Provide appropriate referrals for specialist or private services as needed
  • Effectively manage high risk patients
  • Maintain proper practices for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment to prevent cross infection
  • Process and maintain accurate dental records
  • Provide health education and promote oral hygiene
To Be Successful You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Science or a related field
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with no current conditions as a Dental Practitioner
  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience as a Dentist within Australia
  • Ability to work a one week on and one week off roster
  • Effective driving skills in both city and country traffic conditions
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-focused healthcare
  • Ability to handle challenging operational situations calmly and rationally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
  • Clinical competency in independent patient care
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical patient record systems (Titanium) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
