Job Description:
The Director, Investment will lead a high-performing team within the Global Investment Attraction division. This critical role is pivotal in driving TIQ's international investment pipeline across priority sectors such as energy, resources, agriculture, manufacturing, innovation, and head office attraction—from concept to conversion.
The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end investment facilitation, support key relationships with global investors and stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2022–2032. They will also manage project governance, risk, and performance against KPIs—ensuring all activities contribute meaningfully to job creation and economic growth.

- Project Management: The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of investment projects through to successful outcomes
- Stakeholder Engagement: They will coordinate with TIQ's international offices and domestic stakeholders to align market insights and new opportunity development
- Governance and Risk Management: The Director, Investment will oversee budget, governance, and risk management within the investment function
- Representation: They will represent TIQ with credibility in intergovernmental forums, industry roundtables, and high-level ministerial briefings

About You:
You are a credible leader with presence, gravitas, and the ability to influence at the C-suite and across government. While naturally confident in business development, you also bring strong capability in program delivery, performance management, budget oversight, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director, Investment will lead, mentor, and develop the investment team to meet strategic targets and KPIs.
