Community Leader Job Description

Our ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled Community Leader who can foster a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring the needs of residents and staff are met with care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead with Heart: Develop and maintain a positive community atmosphere, promoting resident wellbeing and staff engagement.
  • Realise Opportunities: Oversee day-to-day operations, managing resources and services to ensure seamless experiences for residents.
  • Make Room for Kindness: Be an approachable leader who listens to concerns, solves problems, and ensures residents are happy, healthy, and thriving.
  • Find the Fun: Plan engaging activities and events that showcase creativity and fun, promoting social interaction and community spirit.
  • Exceptional Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of staff who share a commitment to delivering exceptional living experiences.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent people management skills with leadership and development capabilities.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proven asset management expertise, preferably in property, facilities, or retirement living.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on resident wellbeing.
  • Operational management expertise with strong organisational, consultative, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and online applications.
  • Resilience and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
  • A customer-centric approach prioritising resident satisfaction.
  • A people person with a genuine love for working with seniors.
  • Compassion and understanding of independent living seniors' unique needs.

The ideal candidate will have or be willing to complete First Aid, CPR Certificates, and hold a driver's license with own transport.

Key Requirements

Education: Relevant qualification in a related field.

Experience: Proven track record in community leadership or a related field.

Certifications: First Aid, CPR Certification, and a valid driver's license.

Personal Qualities: Compassion, empathy, and excellent communication skills.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online applications.
