The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our team in a key role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of critical components across the Hitachi product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pressure wash machine components to ensure optimal performance
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts with precision and care
- Assist Tradesmen in disassembling components in line with established procedures
- Conduct thorough quality assurance inspections and pack units for dispatch
- Support store control, including receiving and dispatch of remanufactured items
- Soda blast machine components to restore their original condition
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
Requirements:
- Be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Have the ability to recognize basic product quality deviations and faults
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied hours, shifts, and overtime as required
- Forklift License, dogging ticket, and blasting experience are highly advantageous
