The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our team in a key role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of critical components across the Hitachi product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pressure wash machine components to ensure optimal performance
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts with precision and care
  • Assist Tradesmen in disassembling components in line with established procedures
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance inspections and pack units for dispatch
  • Support store control, including receiving and dispatch of remanufactured items
  • Soda blast machine components to restore their original condition
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment

Requirements:

  • Be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Have the ability to recognize basic product quality deviations and faults
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, shifts, and overtime as required
  • Forklift License, dogging ticket, and blasting experience are highly advantageous
