About the Role

Harrison Barratt Group (HBG) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing and submitting estimates, managing our estimating databases, and ensuring that our tenders align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates, tenders, and quotes in collaboration with the estimating team.
  • Prioritize workloads to meet tender deadlines and ensure timely submission.
  • Liaise with clients to track tender progress and present feedback during estimating team meetings.
  • Support tender queries from project personnel and contribute to developing tender methodologies and programming.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist with preparing 'Expressions of Interest' and 'Capability Statements' as required.
  • Stay current with changes in Australian Standards, construction techniques, and specifications.
  • Coordinate tender reviews with the Senior Management team prior to final submission.
  • Promote workplace harmony within the estimating team and support team training and development.
  • Review and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including insurance limits and tender results.
  • Engage in business development activities and represent the company as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
  • General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, documentation, specifications, plans, and drawings.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and programs while leading and mentoring a team.
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Vista, and estimating software packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
