  • Lead a team of human resource professionals in managing workflow and projects, guiding them to develop a deeper ER/IR skillset.
  • Support centres nationally in resolving industrial and policy-based queries, providing advice and support at a senior level.
  • Investigate incidents from beginning to end, producing executive summaries to support investigation and outcomes for decision-making.
  • Provide performance management guidance across complex issues, including absenteeism and employee departures.
  • Review and approve contracts for new hires and change amendments for existing team members, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and awards.
  • Develop and deliver training on award interpretation, industrial relations legislation, and internal people-related policies and procedures.
  • Respond to and action on industrial relations changes, maintaining personnel and other HR-related files.
  • Maintain accurate records of HR metrics, including departures and employee data.

Requirements

","
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business, or related discipline.
  • At least 5-10 years' experience in a senior generalist Human Resources role, working across ER/IR advisory, advising, and managing diverse employee and industrial matters.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in a similar role, ideally within the early learning sector.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of contemporary industrial and employee relations practice, including relevant legislation and awards.
  • Proven track record in managing formal complaints and conducting investigations.
  • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including leaders and employees.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with effective problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound time and prioritisation skills.
