Cancer Service Leader

Job Summary:
This part-time (0.8 FTE) Clinical Nurse Consultant position provides leadership and facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice that reflects the Mc Grath Model of Care and cancer services at our hospital.
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical advice to patients, family members and other health professionals involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate patient care for patients receiving treatment at our hospital.
- Coordinate education for patients and carers.
- Lead the development and provision of evidence-based nursing clinical practice.
Requirements:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification in the speciality field.
- At least 5 years full-time post-registration experience and at least 3 years' clinical experience in oncology, palliative care or cancer stream specific nursing.
