Sports and Kids Team Leader

We are a supportive organisation focused on fun, engagement, and kids. We're looking for an experienced leader to join our team at Maroubra Bay Public School.


About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from home during service times. You'll report to our Director of Service and assist in delivering an outstanding Sports Club as part of our program.

  • Weekly service hours during term time: 7am to 9am, 2pm to 6pm, 4 hours (34 hours per week)
  • During vacation care time, you'll have block shifts.

The role involves:

  • Building relationships with schools and partners on school events and community engagement
  • Enjoying autonomy and creative freedom to plan and deliver sport-based experiences every day
  • Fostering fun relationships with children and their families that connect, inspire, and delight
  • Leading a team of Educators to assist with delivery and actively supervise children's safety and wellbeing
  • Representing the team within your school community and being an ambassador for our brand

About You

We're looking for someone who loves sports and kids, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll be confident in interpersonal skills, have strong problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude.

  • Previous experience running a Before and After School Care program is preferred but not essential
  • Strong leadership skills with attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and loves to have fun
