Palliative care is a type of medical care focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. A Specialist End-of-Life Care Provider plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, person-centred palliative care to patients at various stages of illness, working across inpatient, outpatient, community, and hospice settings.
- Conduct home visits, lead telehealth consultations for remote communities, and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans that prioritise dignity and empathy.
- Mentor junior doctors, collaborate with general practitioners and allied health professionals, participate in service development, and foster a strong team culture.
