Collection Manager Job Summary

You will play a crucial role in managing and preparing digital collection materials for ingestion into our Digital Asset Management System (DAMS).

This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative projects, preserve collections, and collaborate with a dynamic team to make history and technology collections accessible and impactful.

Main Responsibilities:

- Identify, describe, and register pre-existing digital State Collection items and digital surrogates of analogue audiovisual materials

- Document file locations, file names, collection registration numbers, and other key metadata for DAMS ingestion

- Develop cataloguing protocols for digital collections in collaboration with relevant staff

- Create new catalogue records as needed to support digital preservation

- Identify and remove duplicate files while ensuring the integrity of digital assets

- Liaise with Image Management and IT teams to establish metadata and migration requirements
