We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse Consultant with a background in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with mental health issues, and will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
About the RoleThis is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based at The Sutherland Hospital campus, Caringbah.

Requirements- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 5 years full time equivalent post qualification experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in Mental Health
- Postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which appointed
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of children and adolescents who present with high levels of acuity and Mental Health Issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of children and adolescents who present with high levels of acuity and Mental Health Issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Strategic planning and service development skills
- Clinical expertise in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Understanding of organisational behavior, change management and cultural change processes
