About the Role

Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at our McGraths site. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for critical thinking and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform compliance laboratory testing for bituminous binders and specialty products;
  • Design and perform laboratory testing for mix designs/blends to required specifications;
  • Perform testing in accordance with relevant standards;
  • Analyse test data and corrective action to prevent non-conforming products;
  • Ensure products are made within relevant specifications in accordance with the daily schedule;
  • Record and report on data/process control;
  • Ensure that safety and environmental risks are identified, follow documented processes such as SWMS;
  • Complete other tasks required as directed by Laboratory Manager.

Requirements

  • A keen eye for detail and critical thinking;
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines;
  • Understanding of the asphalt, cement or quarries industries;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories (full training will be provided);
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
