Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Safety and Compliance Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in influencing Project Managers to achieve health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with senior management to prepare reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Motivate and educate BMD Constructions employees to champion best practice use of our systems.
  • Develop work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans.
  • Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV).
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and industry requirements.

Desirable Skills

  • Qualifications in training and assessment.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry.
