Housekeeping Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring Housekeeping Assistant to provide quality home and domestic services aimed at supporting aged-care and disability clients maintain their skills, independence, and quality of life.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality housekeeping and domestic cleaning services including but not limited to general domestic cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and laundry.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing clients with high-quality home and domestic services that meet the required standards
  • Assisting with general domestic cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and laundry as needed
  • Organising refills for chemicals and cleaning supplies as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working in aged care or disability is desirable
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
  • Reliable car with comprehensive motor insurance
  • Access to a smartphone for work purposes
  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable hours and days of availability
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Proof of Influenza vaccination is desirable
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used to clean
  • Caring nature, professional approach, and passion for aged care and disability
