About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our team as a Nurse Unit Manager, providing leadership and management within the Stroke, Cardiac, and General Medicine Ward at Launceston General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the coordination of overall patient care, including managing physical, financial, and human resources effectively.
  • Ensuring the provision of nursing care that meets the care requirements of each patient/client in the practice area.
  • Working collaboratively to support a learning organisation, encouraging and supporting staff to develop further knowledge and skills.

Selection Criteria

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and management roles within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
