Rehabilitation Coordinator Role

About the Role

This 12-month contract opportunity is based in our Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home. As an Early Intervention Manager, you will provide proactive, high-quality early intervention to injured workers and employers through personalised face-to-face assistance, following notification of a psychological injury.



Working closely with the claims team, this role enables you to facilitate effective workplace-based co-ordination of a timely and safe return to work that benefits an injured worker's recovery and helps employers manage their workers' compensation obligations.



Your Responsibilities


  1. Develop personalised plans for workers' return to work and rehabilitation.
  2. Work with various stakeholders, including workers, employers, and treating providers, to assist them in navigating the process of a workers' compensation claim.
  3. Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including entitlements, obligations & responsibilities).
  4. Monitor and review the effectiveness of early intervention involvement.
  5. Drive continuous improvement in the space of early intervention facilitation.
  6. Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends, providing recommendations for changes.


About You


  • You must hold a current driver's license.
  • You have at least 5 years' demonstrated experience in the coordination and facilitation of early intervention practices.
  • Tertiary studies in Allied health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) are required.
  • You hold qualifications aligned to Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Case Management or Mediation.
  • You have customer service experience.
  • You have experience working within the workers' compensation industry.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a focus on mediating and facilitating reconciliation between parties.
