Rehabilitation Coordinator Role

About the Role
This 12-month contract opportunity is based in our Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home. As an Early Intervention Manager, you will provide proactive, high-quality early intervention to injured workers and employers through personalised face-to-face assistance, following notification of a psychological injury.
Working closely with the claims team, this role enables you to facilitate effective workplace-based co-ordination of a timely and safe return to work that benefits an injured worker's recovery and helps employers manage their workers' compensation obligations.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop personalised plans for workers' return to work and rehabilitation.
- Work with various stakeholders, including workers, employers, and treating providers, to assist them in navigating the process of a workers' compensation claim.
- Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including entitlements, obligations & responsibilities).
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of early intervention involvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in the space of early intervention facilitation.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends, providing recommendations for changes.
About You
- You must hold a current driver's license.
- You have at least 5 years' demonstrated experience in the coordination and facilitation of early intervention practices.
- Tertiary studies in Allied health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) are required.
- You hold qualifications aligned to Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Case Management or Mediation.
- You have customer service experience.
- You have experience working within the workers' compensation industry.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a focus on mediating and facilitating reconciliation between parties.
