About Us

Our mission at Canva is to empower everyone to create amazing visual content. Our accounting team is instrumental in achieving this goal by providing accurate and reliable financial information. As a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for developing and executing a financial reporting operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a financial reporting operations strategy that ensures timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and accounting teams to implement effective cost and department allocation methodologies.
  • Evaluate and manage timelines for financial statement preparation, ensuring coordination with business partners and auditors.
  • Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements according to accounting standards.
  • Assist accounting, FP&A, and investor relations with quarterly reporting needs.
  • Conduct thorough technical accounting research, preparing and reviewing detailed technical memorandums.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters to business and accounting teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in building financial reports and processes.
  • Prior success in managing people and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on knowledge of equity accounting and Shareworks.
  • Ability to effectively handle large datasets and diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines and resources.
  • Finesse for detail-oriented work.
  • Understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements, with IFRS experience being beneficial.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools like Workiva.
  • Passion for building strong teams and solutions.
