Job Opportunity:

This dynamic role is ideal for a passionate and experienced support specialist who wants to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised, trauma-informed support in line with clients' care and recovery plans.
  • De-escalate behaviours of concern and respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Assist with daily living activities, community participation, and skill development.
  • Support clients in managing mental health symptoms, medication adherence, and health appointments.
  • Foster meaningful relationships and promote social and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate, professional documentation and contribute to team care planning.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in mental health or disability support, with a focus on complex client needs.
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with dual diagnosis, trauma history, or psychosocial disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of recovery-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and risk management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current First Aid & CPR and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
