Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in developing innovative software solutions for the cloud and desktop platforms. As a key member of our team, you will work on unique and highly visible projects that shape the future of our software services for networking scenarios.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a broad range of technical areas, collaborating with component teams inside Microsoft Azure, and within the Cloud & Enterprise division. You will be responsible for defining, driving execution and adoption of different features and capabilities in the core Azure networking stack that will have a significant business impact.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Drive identification of dependencies and development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiating actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Reliable, high quality software development.
  • Large scale orchestration frameworks.
  • Extensive Backend application development.
