Job Title: Metal Fabrication Trade Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trade Assistant/Labourer to join our fabrication team in Western Australia.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires assisting the fabrication team in the workshop during build and assembly of custom equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality products are delivered to farmers across the country.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a metal fabrication workshop and possess good problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the fabrication team in the workshop during build and assembly of custom equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings.
  • Cutting and grinding steel using drop saws, grinders, cold saws, and plasma cutters.
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Measuring and marking out materials.
  • Keeping workspaces clean and organised.
  • Moving and handling steel components safely (forklift licence preferred).
  • Assisting with metal fabrication and general workshop duties.
Requirements
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication workshop (minimum 1–2 years).
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team.
  • Physically fit and reliable.
  • Safety-conscious and proactive.
