Climate Hazard Analyst Position

About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical project that aims to reduce the severity and impacts of disasters in NSW.
As a Senior Climate Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting quantitative climate risk assessments across various domains, analyzing climate and environmental data, and engaging with stakeholders to design and deliver best practice solutions.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of experts across government, academia, and industry to develop and implement effective strategies for disaster risk reduction and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
- Analyze climate and environmental data to inform risk assessments and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions to mitigate disaster risks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in climate science and risk assessment.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as climate science, geography, or environmental science, or equivalent experience.
