The Role:

We have an opportunity for a Kitchen Hand to join our Catering Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Catering Team responsibilities include providing exceptional food and beverage services to clients, partners, and employees.

Main Duties:

  • ">
  • The orderly storage of supplies and equipment as required.">
  • Assistance with basic food preparation directed by the Chef(s).">
  • Cleaning and maintaining designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools.">
  • Removal of garbage/recyclables from kitchen area to designated waste area.">
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and operation of industrial floor cleaning machinery.">
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with Executive Chef and suppliers.">
  • Setup and breakdown of mobile kitchen equipment and trestle tables for events.">

Key Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role requiring attention to cleanliness and hygiene of designated kitchen areas and related equipment.

As a professional Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Chef(s) and other team members to achieve high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in performing a similar role.">
  • Awareness of legislation governing food service hygiene.">
  • Sound knowledge of appropriate use of cleaning chemicals.">
  • Knife/equipment handling skills.">
  • Good general knowledge of equipment operation and cleaning.">
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure.">
