Lead Strategic Initiatives in Environment and Sustainability

 

  • Develop strategic initiatives that drive commercial strength, profile, brand, and reputation within the environment and sustainability sector.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative cross-sector initiatives that align with national priorities, solve critical challenges, and propel the organization into the future.

The role involves:

  1. Developing business cases from ideas to execution.
  2. Winning, developing, and leading project delivery with external clients and strategic partners.
  3. Managing project budgets and collaborating with stakeholders to develop new products, services, or standards solutions.
  4. Driving new market development opportunities and offerings across the value chain.
  5. Building initial agreements in new, difficult, or contentious areas of activity.
  6. Managing strategic risk and complex stakeholder and industry issues.
  7. Building and maintaining a network of stakeholders from industry, government, and the community.
  8. Sharing insights on industry and government trends, opportunities, and risks.
  9. Developing public submissions in priority areas.

Requirements:

  • Relevant sector experience in environment, sustainability, ESG reporting.
  • Commercial acumen and skills in opportunity identification, product development, and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to bring energy and momentum to all projects.
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
