We are seeking an experienced Meat Department Team Lead to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets in North Lakes, Brisbane.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and completing stock takes. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in merchandising, customer service, and team management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a small team of butchers and sales assistants
  • Create rosters and schedules to ensure optimal store performance
  • Generate orders and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability
  • Complete regular stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety, including adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in basic computer software applications, including Microsoft Office
