We're seeking an exceptional Airport Security Manager to lead our day-to-day operations at Melbourne Airport.

About the Role

This pivotal position ensures smooth operations, compliance excellence, and outstanding customer experiences across all aviation points. You'll be the first point of escalation for Aviation Protection officers and a champion of our core values and leadership principles.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead and Coordinate Daily Operations: Oversee daily activities and ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  2. First Point of Escalation: Provide timely support and guidance to Aviation Protection officers.
  3. Conduct Spot Audits and Support Investigations: Monitor compliance and assist in internal investigations as needed.
  4. Monitor Staffing, Rostering, and Operational Calendars: Ensure adequate staffing and optimal resource allocation.
  5. Drive Performance Management and Staff Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and staff growth.
  6. Communicate Operational Changes and Release SOPs/Toolbox Talks: Effectively disseminate information to team members.
  7. Champion Customer Service: Promote exceptional customer experiences aligned with ISS and Melbourne Airport standards.
  8. Support Innovation and Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Encourage innovative solutions and process enhancements.
  9. Promote and Maintain OH&S Standards and Practices: Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in aviation or similar environments.
  • Strong Leadership and Mentoring Capabilities: Showcase effective leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in Managing Operational Compliance and Performance: Prove ability to manage operational compliance and performance.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, Outcome-Focused, and Deadline-Driven: Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a results-oriented approach.
  • High Personal Integrity and Professionalism: Exhibit high personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Hospitality, Sales, or Customer-Facing Roles: Highlight relevant experience in hospitality, sales, or customer-facing roles.
  • Aviation Industry or Airline Operational Experience Highly Desirable: Indicate if you have experience in the aviation industry or airline operations.
