Transformative Governance Advisor Role

This pivotal role will play a key part in supporting senior decision-making on one of Queensland's most significant infrastructure projects. As a Governance Advisor, you'll provide high-level governance and secretariat support to senior program and project-level forums, ensuring effective and accountable decisions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic governance and secretariat support to senior program and project-level forums.
  • Developing and delivering high-quality meeting packs, including agendas, briefing notes, papers, minutes, actions, memoranda, submissions, and presentations.
  • Coordinating governance reporting requirements across Program Delivery, collating and distributing timely reports, briefings, presentations, and information papers with accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintaining governance registers, including minutes, actions, and decisions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Supporting the development, review, and improvement of governance frameworks and contributing to the establishment of new governance bodies.
  • Monitoring compliance with governance processes and escalating risks or issues where required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience providing secretariat support to senior governance forums.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance processes, frameworks, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation tailored to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and SharePoint, with experience editing and formatting to meet governance submission standards.
  • Experience with Document Management sharing tools such as TRIM/Content Manager is highly regarded.
