Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in our inpatient unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing resources, and improving clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Coordinate patient care plans and oversee nursing activities
  • Manage resources, including staffing levels and budgets
  • Improve clinical outcomes through quality improvement initiatives
  • Support the development of policies and procedures to elevate the standard of care provided
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse with a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing and a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including experience supervising staff and participating in accreditation processes
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities to ensure culturally appropriate care
  • Expertise in risk management, resource allocation, and staff development
  • Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, and financial management
