Lead Data Platform Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Lead Data Platform Engineer to build and maintain our data platforms, pipelines, and solutions. The successful candidate will lead teams, set technical direction, advise clients, and solve complex engineering challenges.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that requires strong software engineering skills, solid data fundamentals, and experience with modern tools. You will spend time on-site with clients in the London area as needed.

We value adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills and grow your experience. Our ideal candidate has a background in software engineering, including Front End technologies like JavaScript, and experience with modern data engineering and reporting technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build well-structured, maintainable systems.
  • Lead teams and set technical direction.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Advise clients on technical matters.
Requirements
  • Good experience with modern data engineering and reporting technologies.
  • Experience with technologies like Python, Spark, SQL, Pyspark, PowerBI, and JavaScript.
  • A background in software engineering, including Front End technologies like JavaScript.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills and grow your experience.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with relevant cloud services within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Agile environment experience.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Data Bricks, or other common vendor products.
  • CI/CD tooling experience.
