Job Title: Sustainability and Health Specialist

About the Role

This role involves promoting safe work outcomes for our team, customers, and suppliers by supporting the development and implementation of world-class health and safety practices.

  • Drive the effective implementation of occupational health, safety, and sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate the implementation of all policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Assist in deploying policies to help achieve a workplace free from injury, discrimination, and harassment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement health, safety, and sustainability policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Maintain accurate records of incidents, hazards, and chemical register updates.
  4. Provide training and support to team members on health, safety, and sustainability best practices.
  5. Collaborate with the Safety and Sustainability Lead to develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret health, safety, or environment legislation, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience in the field of Health, Safety and Sustainability.
  • Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (minimum Cert IV WHS).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
