We are seeking a highly skilled Recovery Nurse to join our dedicated Recovery team at a leading hospital within the East Metropolitan Health Service.
About the Role:
- To deliver high-standard post-anaesthesia nursing care in line with hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patients' condition during recovery, responding promptly to changes.
- Administer medications and pain management interventions as prescribed.
- Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and the perioperative team for continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care where necessary.
About You:
- You must be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in Recovery/PACU or Critical Care is essential.
- Solid clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to patient-centred care and safety.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is desirable.
