About this role
At the heart of every project lies compliance. As a Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality (SSEQ) Compliance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all maintenance and construction works at Sydney Airport meet the highest standards.
This is a frontline position providing second-line assurance across various projects. You'll work on-site to monitor contractor compliance, manage interface risks, and maintain operational readiness.
Your expertise will be called upon to conduct inspections and audits, provide advice and coaching, participate in risk workshops, review documentation, coordinate interfaces, assist post-curfew activities, implement critical risk programs, support continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance.
About you
You hold tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, WHS, or a related trade. Your experience in construction supervision or compliance roles has equipped you with a deep understanding of WHS legislation, QA systems, and risk management.
You are skilled in incident response, inspections, and contractor engagement. Your ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and permits is unmatched.
A strong knowledge of Australian construction standards and a keen understanding of contractor management, construction safety, and high-risk work frameworks make you an ideal candidate for this role.
Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, WHS, or a related trade
Experience in construction supervision or compliance roles
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, QA systems, and risk management
Skilled in incident response, inspections, and contractor engagement
Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and permits
Familiar with Australian construction standards
Understanding of contractor management, construction safety, and high-risk work frameworks
WHS or Lead Auditor certification (preferred)
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
Able to work rotating shifts and manage competing priorities
Customer-focused with a commitment to service delivery
